HIPS HALLELUJAH

This class is for students with both mobility limitations and hypermobility in the hips. After a warm up of myofacial techniques, nerve glides, and the Gyrokinesis® method, Hips Hallelujah focuses on strength and isometrics in end-range positions. The class is designed to improve an aerial and/or handbalancing practice but is helpful for anyone looking to improve their hip mobility and stability.

This class is for students with both mobility limitations and hypermobility in the shoulders and upper back. After a warm up of myofacial techniques, nerve glides, and the Gyrokinesis® method, Holy Shoulders focuses on strength and isometrics in end-range positions. The class is designed to improve an aerial and/or handbalancing practice but helpful for anyone looking to increase their mobility and stability.

THE SPINAL INQUISITION

This class is for students looking to increase their depth, control, and quality of movement at end ranges in the backbend family. We begin by calming the nervous system through myofascial and nerve glide techniques. After activating the muscles needed to support your joints at their end range, we employ them in foundational flexibility postures as well as in Instagram-worthy movements.

CATECHISM: VERTICAL FUNDAMENTALS (SILKS/ROPE)

We will devote an hour to digging deep into your aerial foundations on silks or rope, shoring up muscular engagements and finessing pathways on your apparatus. You’ll gain a better understanding of sought-after skills and a road map for achieving the next progression. Appropriate for low rigs, this is the place where aerial strength and mobility meets aerial theory. Bring your wishlist.

AERIAL TRAINING

Jessica currently offers physically distanced in-person aerial coaching at an outdoor location in Corvallis, Oregon, subject to local weather conditions. She is also sometimes available for private coaching at AWOL Dance in Portland, Oregon. Please contact Jessica to discuss her availability and rates.

MOBILITY TRAINING

Jessica offers in-person mobility and Gyrotonic® and Gyrokinesis® movement sessions at her home studio in Corvallis, Oregon and at Center Gyrotonic in Portland, Oregon. The Gyrotonic Method is a unique, holistic approach to movement. Some of the benefits of a regular Gyrotonic practice include a more supple spine, increased range of motion, greater joint stability, improved agility and athletic performance, and deep internal strength. Jessica offers personalized sessions that are adapted to fit the needs of any age or ability, from weekend warriors recovering from injury to highly skilled professional athletes and dancers. Jessica is Gyrotonic Level 1 and Level 2 Program 2 certified, and is also certified to apply Gyrotonic movement principles to exercises for dancers (Levels 1 and 2) and on the Archway (Level 1) and the Leg Extension Unit.
